Visualization of the Week – World Slackline Records

Slacklining is a rapidly growing sport within the last 20 years where participants balance on loose or tight length of webbing over land, water, and high gaps. Within the last 5 years, world records have been shattered with individuals walking over a kilometer! Play with the interactive visualization above to hover over and see who are the individuals breaking these records. Filter using the boxes on the right to hone in on specific disciplines or genders. This chart was developed in Tableau Public by Concord Analytics’ Founder and Principal Partner, Dan Walsh, using publicly available data collected from the International Slackline Association.
